Instant insight into supplier performance for GGZ Friesland

GGZ Friesland has been working with ISPnext's Vendor Management and Spend Analytics solutions since 2015. We spoke with Piet van der Heide, Purchaser at GGZ Friesland about the experience with ISPnext.

Digitisation

In 2015, GGZ Friesland transitioned to a directional organisation. Piet says: ''At the time, we started looking for optimisation opportunities for all kinds of administrative procurement processes and tasks. We then ended up at ISPnext. They provided us with automated solutions that allowed us to digitise a number of processes that we used to do by hand, via mail or in Excel. This has provided efficiency, time savings and, in part, cost savings.''

Vendor Risk Management & Vendor Rating

The solutions of Vendor Management and Spend Analytics are used by GGZ Friesland for multiple purposes. Pete explains: ''We are positive about the solutions. We use Vendor Management to rate our suppliers (Vendor Rating) for our HKZ certification. This then forms a component of our risk management. Our providers’ risk management consists of four aspects: risk to (business) continuity, financial health, patient safety and information security. Suppliers are assessed based on probability, impact and risk using these four aspects. The top 50 of these vendors are rated through Vendor Rating.''

Spend analyses

In addition to deploying Vendor Rating, GGZ Friesland also deploys ISPnext's solutions to create spend analysis and track supplier spending. GGZ Friesland is continuously optimising its expenses and looking for opportunities to save. ''With ISPnext's Spend Analytics solution, we easily make spend analyses and have up-to-date insight into (supplier) expenses. From Spend Analytics, for example, we can see which suppliers are sending a lot of invoices and we check supplier contract obligations against actual spending. Finally, within the project module, we monitor ICT and construction projects that require large investments. We assess the established budget for each project as well as the expected and already achieved expenditures. In this way, we have a continuous overview of progress and can take early action if necessary.''

Collaboration

The cooperation between GGZ Friesland and ISPnext is going well. ''We have good contact with consultants and support. Questions and issues are well addressed or set in motion. Together with ISPnext, we regularly exchange views and share knowledge about developments within our market,'' Piet concludes.
